These terms govern your use of The Castle, a pixel-art escape game published at playthecastle.com by BHvistra ("we", "us"). By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to these terms.
The Castle is published and operated by BHvistra. When you buy anything on this site (ad removal, donations, or other paid items), you are contracting with BHvistra.
By continuing to use the site, creating an account, or completing a purchase, you accept these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site.
You must be of legal age in your country, or have permission from a parent or guardian, to create an account or make a purchase. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
You agree not to misuse the service. In particular, you must not: use it for anything unlawful; commit fraud or send spam; infringe anyone's intellectual property; upload malware; probe, scan or attempt to breach the site's security; or scrape or automate access without our written permission.
All content of the game — artwork, music, code, text, branding — is owned by BHvistra or its licensors and is protected by copyright and other IP laws. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to play the game for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, redistribute, resell, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the game.
We work hard to keep the game available, but we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that bugs will be fixed. Features may change or be removed over time.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
Prices are shown at checkout in your local currency where possible and include any applicable taxes. Recurring items (if offered) renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or manage a subscription at any time through the customer portal linked from your purchase confirmation email or by contacting Paddle at paddle.net.
See our Refund Policy for full details. In short: we offer a 30-day money-back guarantee, and refunds are processed by Paddle.
We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, fail to pay, present a security or fraud risk, or repeatedly violate our policies. You can stop using the site or close your account at any time.
The game is provided "as is". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties (including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose). Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the game is capped at the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law (such as fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence).
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date above shows when they were last changed. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to BHvistra's place of establishment, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought before the competent courts of that jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer protection rights you have where you live.
