FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything players usually ask about The Castle: cost, accounts, saves, the collection, the Supporter Packs and contact details.
Is The Castle free to play?
Yes. All four levels, all rooms, all nine objects and every level artwork are free. Optional Supporter Packs exist, but they never unlock game progress or gate any level.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play as a guest straight away. In guest mode your progress is stored in your browser only, so clearing your browser data or switching device loses it. Creating a free account keeps your collection and progress on the server.
How is progress saved?
Automatically, after every room you reach. There is no save button and no way to lose a discovered room: even a run that ends immediately keeps whatever you saw.
Why did I get sent back to the start of the level?
Because you chose a door that leads nowhere. The game is deliberately built on luck: doors are coin flips. The intended experience is to retry, remember the safe route, and go one room deeper each time.
What is in the collection?
For each level: the prologue artwork, one artwork per room discovered, the objects found, the victory artwork, and — once the level is fully explored with all three objects found — a bonus artwork made for that level.
What do the Supporter Packs include?
They remove ads permanently, add a supporter badge next to your name, list you in the Hall of Supporters, and unlock extra supporter artworks plus a Pantheon gallery. The three packs (Torch, Crown, Legend) are independent and can be bought separately or together.
Who handles payments and refunds?
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for the seller BHvistra. Refund terms are described on the Refund Policy page.
Does the game work on mobile?
Yes. The Castle runs in any modern mobile or desktop browser, in portrait or landscape, with no installation.
Does the site show ads, and how is data used?
The free version may display advertising. Cookie and data handling are described in the Privacy Policy. Supporters never see ads.
